Below you will find the various positions of the serial numbers. We are trying to track down the point at which these changes took place. If you have a Model 92 that falls within the gaps below, please email me snide@twcny.rr.com with the serial number, grade, # of jewels, hunting/open face. If you can send a picture, that would be great. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The second serial number position (SNP2) is found at the edge of the train bridge, curved around the end of the barrel bridge. We have seen examples of SNP2 from 7023601 through 10501500 with SNP3 beginning at 10517521. The only thing in between is a run of 20 Exports beginning with 10517501 and ending with 10517520. ![]()
The third location (SNP3) is on the barrel bridge and with this location, there is some further variation. The number is found in different positions on the barrel bridge and it would seem that this is often determined by whether or not the watch is a hunting case movement or an open face movement. For the moment at least, I have lumped them all into Serial Number Position 3. SNP3 may begin with the 10517501-20 run of exports-maybe we will never know. The next run, 10517521-800, is SNP3 and the serial number remains on the barrel bridge until the end of Model 92 production. ![]() ![]() |
