We believe there to be 2 regulators on a Model 92, the Star Regulator and the 08 or Ohlson Regulator. The Star Regulator is seen in a variety of forms. We believe the gold star is found on Vanguards, Crescent Streets, 845s and other high grade movements. The steel star is found on ATCs, PSBs, Royals, Riversides and other "lower" grade movements. Below you will find some examples. Dick Zeibel has been studying the regulators and we are meeting in Orlando in February. I should have a better grasp on the regulator situation then.
The Star Regulator appears in a few different forms. There is gold, polished steel, gilded steel and damasceened steel and gilded steel. Below you will find two examples of the Star Regulator.
